Working

Lawrence University Theater

Student Costume Designer

November 2025

In fall 2024, I served as a costume designer afor Lawrence University’s main-stage production of Working. Based on Studs Terkel’s acclaimed oral-history book, the musical weaves together stories from a wide range of American workers. I designed the costumes for the Trucker, Millworker, and Housewife, while other students designed 1–3 characters each. Professor Karin Simonson Kopishke designed the remaining looks and oversaw the cohesive visual arc of the show. My designs balanced realism and symbolism, reflecting each character’s personal story while staying true to their place in the broader ensemble.
